I'm a little late posting our menu this week due to having my gallbladder removed last week. But one good thing that came from that malicious little organ is that it made me explore a new way of eating. I've been doing the keto thing for some time, and it worked well, until it just stopped. My gallbladder forced me to cut out a lot of the fat, but I didn't want to bring back the carbs. The result was a lean and green diet that really got the scale dropping again. So I have started researching and developing recipes that are lean and green but most importantly, delicious. We didn't add any Easy Button Dinners this week, but if you have a special request, we will be happy to make it for you. Pictures and descriptions will be in the comments!

With all of our new followers, I thought it would be a good time to share our story about where we started and where we're going.
A few years ago I realized that we had a serious problem when the waitress at Pizza Hut had our order in the oven and drinks on the table when she saw us pull in the parking lot. But as a busy working mom, I was just proud my family was getting fed. I recruited my mom, who has always been a great cook, and we started planning and prepping meals on the weekend to cover the coming week. Instead of spending $50-$60 eating out every night, we had dinner ready to go at home.
Having healthy meals that the family would eat on the table with no stress every night was a game changer! I started keeping some on hand to share with friends and family that were sick or needed a helping hand. They were so excited about them we decided to make them available for purchase.
We try to put out a new menu about once a month or so. The menus are posted right here on our Birds Nest page, so keep an eye out for them.
We also take special requests for special meals, off schedule orders, catering, and cakes. Let us know how we can help make your life easier, from the everyday to the special days.

We started cooking this morning and just didn't know when to stop apparently.😅 We ended up with an one additional Brown Sugar Toffee Cake without a home. I already dipped into mine and I have to say it is one of the best cakes I've ever had. Somebody save my waistline and take this decadency off my hands. $15-pickup/delivery tomorrow. First come first serve.
