Dela Paz (@ab.dlp) shares captivating new single ‘Favorite Dress’ via @fmsmag

Mexican-American singer-songwriter, Dela Paz, is back with his captivating new single ‘Favorite Dress’. Made in collaboration with beatmaker and producer, WOLFGANG PANDER, the new single see’s Dela give an indie-pop twist to his R&B infused sound.
“’Favorite Dress’ portrays a difficult stage in a relationship as a couple highlights their past, their desire of not giving up and their fear of making the same mistakes again,” say the artist, who has already opened shows for the likes of rap legend Busta Rhymes and is now working with Lyrical Opposition.

“This is a song for those who have gone through a heartbreak which one learns from. It shows how through heartbreak, some things never change.”

“This is a song for those who have gone through a heartbreak which one learns from. It shows how through heartbreak, some things never change.”

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Blackbear, Jeremy Zucker, Maisie Peters, Lauv and Isaac Dunbar, Dela’s sound is as relatable and commercially viable as it is honest and musically mature. Blending muted guitar lines with punchy electronic drums and airy synth lines, along with his stylistic, sometimes gritty and hugely impactful vocal delivery. With an ear-worm chorus that demands a second listen, the single demonstrates a strikingly complete sound, despite being only Dela’s third track, and proving him to be one to watch over the coming months.

Outside of music, Dela Paz supports his community by working with Sunset Youth Services to give long-term stability and growth to youth, young adults and families through caring relationships and supportive services.

‘Favorite Dress’ is out now.
