These moments caught on film are what move me.
Every time I return to an album I’ve seen before, something new reaches me. Maybe it’s my mood. Maybe it’s where I am in my own life. But today, I see love. I see family. I see friends. I see one generation kissing the next—bloodline to bloodline. I see people who may barely know one another coming together and feeling the exact same thing for one day: joy.
I see families with different histories and stories choosing to make it work—for each other, and for the new little ones watching it all unfold. I see strength. And every time I see it, I’m reminded what life is actually about.
It’s not the design. It’s not the food.
It’s love.
As we grow older and experience life in our own ways, we all seem to arrive at the same truth: love is why we hold on. It’s why, even after witnessing pain and loss, we still find the courage to show up for another day. These moments—often just ten seconds long—outweigh months of stress, effort, and sacrifice. They define everything.
Happiness. Joy. And above all, love.
So when people ask me why I’m a wedding planner, this is why. I love creating and witnessing happiness. I love knowing that, in some small but meaningful way, I helped make it possible.
I work in full blackout mode all year long—but on the wedding day, when everyone finally sits down, takes their first sip, and exhales… that’s the moment. The overwhelm hits. The noise fades. And for ten or fifteen seconds, I see exactly why I do this. That feeling is worth every hour, every detail, every ounce of energy.
It drives me—to do better, and also to disconnect when needed so I can love and be present with my own people.
So today, go hug the ones you love. Be truly present—not because a proverb says so, but because you want to feel that moment right now. Disconnect from the work, the stress, the traffic, the bills. Just be here.
You might be surprised by how much love is already surrounding you.
