The forecast said rain, but Saturday had OTHER plans! ☀️🍂 Y’all, that’s TWO beautiful wedding days in a row, and we aren’t complaining!

Guests gathered on the front lawn for a special ceremony, surrounded by gorgeous fall florals and all the feels. Add in incredible food, thoughtful details, and a DJ spinning actual RECORDS, and you’ve got a celebration with a little something extra! 💿🎶

Another beautiful reminder that the best wedding days aren’t just about how everything looks — they’re about how it FEELS. And this one felt pretty darn special!

From watching a hurricane all week to waking up to a BEAUTIFUL wedding day! 🌞🌸 Mother Nature decided to let us have our moment, and boy, did we make the most of it!

This Friday wedding had a little bit of EVERYTHING! 😂 The bride’s uncle, pulled off a fake first look on the groom (we love a good surprise!), the bride had a little dress emergency right before walking down the aisle (thank goodness for quick fixes!), and then it was time to CELEBRATE!

Colorful florals, glowing tapered candles, and a dance floor full of happy guests made for one unforgettable night!

Proof that even when the forecast has you holding your breath all week, sometimes the sweetest celebrations come with a little plot twist. 💕

That’s the Sweet Southern Occasions way — handling the unexpected so our couples can soak up every single moment!

When we say the details matter… THIS is what we mean. ✨

Every little detail of this wedding was thoughtfully planned to represent them—from their cats’ faces on the drink stirrers and photos of their furry family members, to nods to the college days at Duke & Ole Miss.

There were engraved cufflinks, thoughtful gifts they planned for one another, customized matchboxes, personal touches tucked into every corner.

The beautiful green and white color palette brought it all together, but what made this wedding truly special was how personal it felt. It wasn’t just a beautiful wedding—it was their wedding.

And with guests traveling from all over to celebrate them, you could feel just how loved this couple is. 🤍

✨ SIX YEARS of Sweet Southern Occasions! ✨

Today, I’m celebrating 6 years in business, and my heart is incredibly full. 🤍

I’m so thankful for every couple, family, company, and client who has trusted me and my team to be part of their biggest moments. Getting to do what I love, serve others, and watch this little dream grow into something bigger than I ever imagined is truly such a blessing.

I’m thankful for the incredible people we’ve met, the memories we’ve helped create, the friendships and vendor relationships we’ve built, and yes… all of the awards and recognition along the way. 🥹✨ Every one of them is a reminder of just how special this journey has been.

Six years in, and I still get to say I’m living my dream. And I couldn’t do it without YOU. 🤍

And while we’re celebrating… keep those votes coming! 🗳️ We are currently in the running for Best of the Best in Mississippi Weddings for Mississippi Magazine. Voting is open through October 15, and we would be so grateful for your continued support!

July in Mississippi… you just never know what the weather is going to do! ⛈️🌈

This colorful celebration was filled with soft pastel florals, pretty details, and the sweetest personal touches—including party favors from Buff City Soap that were a perfect little nod to the couple. 🧼💐

When storms popped up on the radar, we made a quick change of plans and kept right on rolling. Then, just like that, the skies cleared—and as the bride walked down the aisle, a beautiful rainbow appeared over the venue. 🌈

Talk about a little Southern wedding magic!
From rainbow skies to a packed dance floor, this night was full of big smiles, lots of laughter, and SO much fun. Just the kind of celebration we love at Sweet Southern Occasions.
