Seventy Sweet Years 🍉💗

I didn’t hear the true meaning behind this theme until yesterday, and now it’s all I can think about because… WOW, how sweet is this?! 🥹

Marion loves to tell the story of how he went down to buy a watermelon from “Old Man McCurley” and ended up finding his one true love.

70 years later, that trip for a watermelon turned into a lifetime together. The vision for the balloons was muted watermelon-inspired colors, and knowing the story behind it now makes every little detail feel that much more special. 🍉

Seventy sweet years of love, all because of a trip to buy a watermelon. I mean, COME ON. 😭

I’ve had some interest in balloon classes, so I’m debating offering a Beginner Balloon Garland Class in mid-September! 🎈

Since we’ll be heading into spooky season, the class would be Halloween themed! 🎃👻

The class would be around $100 per person and would include:
• All balloons and supplies needed to create your own 4-ft Halloween balloon garland
• Step-by-step, hands-on instruction from start to finish
• Tips on balloon sizing, building clusters, color placement, shaping, and assembling your garland
• Your finished Halloween garland to take home with you
• Snacks and refreshments while we create!

PLUS a tutorial on how to create and assemble a balloon spider using 260 balloons 🕷️

This would be completely beginner friendly, so no experience is needed!

And while we’ll be creating a Halloween-themed garland, the technique and formula you’ll learn can be applied to any color palette, theme, or event. Once you understand the basics, you can take what you learn and recreate it for birthdays, showers, holidays, and more!

Before I officially put it on the calendar, I want to see if there’s enough interest. Would you be interested at the $100 price point?

Spots would be VERY limited to keep the class small and hands-on!

And which would work better: Friday evening or Sunday evening?

From the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, every detail was brought to life with balloons- including giant poppies, a rainbow, a twister, and of course… a hot air balloon, because it just wouldn’t be The Wizard of Oz without one.
