I’ve been asking my 18-year-old son what he wants for Christmas.�Silence. “I’ll let you know.”
Wednesday he finally texts me links… to secondhand items… from out-of-country websites… that will definitely not be here by Christmas.
So now I’m asking honestly (and slightly desperately):�What do you put under the tree when the gifts won’t arrive in time?�Gift cards? Printed pictures? A placeholder gift? A clever idea I haven’t thought of yet?
Parents of teens/adult kids — I’m open to all actual suggestions

Last year, this mama ordered a birthday shirt for her little boy…
and I surprised him with a matching metal necklace as an extra.

This year, she came back and said:
“He loved it so much — can we do another? We want this to be his birthday tradition.”

🥹

Same boy.
New year.
New shirt.
New necklace.
Same memories being made.

This is why I do what I do at The Beetch Barn — creating pieces that grow with them, year after year 🤍
