Today was one of those days where safety had to come first.

While we don’t usually let a little bad weather get us down, the combination of high winds and extremely rough surf this morning made conditions unsafe for our guests and not the sauna experience we want to provide.

After arriving and assessing the conditions while setting up, we made the tough decision to cancel today’s appointments and shut down operations for the day.

To everyone who had booked and was looking forward to sweating it out at the beach today — I’m sorry. We’ll be reaching out to reschedule your session or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Thank you for understanding and for trusting us to put your safety first.

Maine Spa Club and Biddeford Recreation present Sauna by the Sea at Fortunes Rocks Beach in Biddeford Pool.

Sauna season officially starts this Friday, 7am–7pm, and we’ll be back most weekends this fall.

Come sweat it out, take a dip in the ocean, relax with friends, or show up on your own and meet some of the great people in our community.

Good heat. Cold water. Fresh air. Good company.

We’re excited to announce that Maine Spa Club is partnering with Biddeford Recreation Department to bring community sauna sessions back to Fortunes Rocks Beach!

📅 Opening Day: September 18th
🕖 Weekend sessions from 7AM–7PM
🔥 75-minute sauna sessions
💧 Cold-water ocean plunges
💵 $30/person

Come sweat, cool off in the Atlantic, and experience sauna the way we think it’s meant to be — outside, connected to the ocean, and shared with the community.

What a way to kick off Fourth of July weekend. 🇺🇸🔥

I got a last-minute call to bring the sauna to without really knowing what to expect… and I was absolutely blown away.

An incredible setup, world-class athletes throwing down some of the wildest stunts I’ve ever seen, amazing music, great people, and unmatched energy all weekend.

Even with temperatures pushing 100°, people were still lining up to sweat it out in the sauna, and the cold plunges stayed busy from morning until evening. It was awesome to see so many people making recovery part of the experience.

Huge thanks to and for the invitation and for welcoming Maine Spa Club into the Wellness Village. I’m grateful for all the new friends, conversations, and connections made throughout the weekend.

Can’t wait for the next one. 🔥🧊

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible sauna mommas out there ❤️

To the moms holding families together, running on little sleep, carrying the mental load, and still showing up with love every single day — we see you, and we appreciate you more than words can say.

At Maine Spa Club, we’ve watched so many moms step into the sauna stressed and exhausted… and walk out smiling, laughing, relaxed, and recharged. A little heat, quiet, deep breathing, and cold plunge magic can go a long way.

Today we especially celebrate the amazing mothers in our own lives — especially my wife and sister, the two beautiful moms pictured here. Our families are lucky beyond measure to have them.

If you’re still looking for a meaningful Mother’s Day gift, a sauna session is a pretty good way to say:
