Busy weekend ahead for the Rolling Spirits team! 🥂

We have three weddings this Saturday, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing team that makes it all possible.

The husband and I will be at Camp Dodge Pavilion in Johnston IA. Emily and Stacey will be serving another beautiful wedding at the River View Lodge and Bridgitte will be taking care of a small intimate wedding at Lilly and Asters in Moline.

As a small business owner, it’s pretty incredible to see how much we’ve grown. I truly couldn’t do this without their hard work, dedication, and commitment to giving every couple a 5-star experience.

Two menus, two shopping lists, and countless emails all accomplished poolside today.

Never really a day off, even when we don’t have events. Sometimes I feel like I’m constantly on my phone answering emails, building shopping lists, talking with clients, and creating custom menus. There is so much behind the scenes work that goes into an event long before we ever show up and start serving.

Every menu is customized. Every shopping list is calculated. Every detail is planned weeks, and sometimes months, in advance.

One thing I’m working on is setting better business hours. I try not to be at everyone’s beck and call 24/7, but if I’m being honest, that’s my downfall. I love my business. I love what I do. I genuinely want to be there for every client the moment they need me. But I also know that’s not always healthy, especially when you’re a mom trying to balance family, business, and life.

Today, I’m grateful for my mother-in-law’s pool, a little sunshine, and the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Some questions we get a lot:

“Do you have a liquor license?”
“Do you provide the alcohol?”
“Can you do cash bars?”

The simple answer is no, and honestly, that is what saves our couples thousands.

Rolling Spirits Wandering Bar is a dry hire mobile bar. That means you provide the alcohol, and we do the rest.

We carry all proper insurance, including general liability and liquor liability, and we are fully insured to legally serve alcohol. We just do not carry a liquor license to sell or provide the alcohol itself.

This allows you to stay in control of your alcohol budget instead of being locked into expensive venue or catering bar packages. Many licensed companies charge $50+ per person with high minimums, and guests may still end up paying $10 to $15 per drink.

With our dry hire model, you can buy exactly what you want from places like Sam’s Club or Costco, keep anything leftover, return unopened bottles, and still give your guests a full elevated bar experience with complimentary drinks.

We provide professional bartenders, custom cocktail menus, detailed shopping lists, cups, napkins, straws, garnishes, setup, teardown, and the 5 star service Rolling Spirits is known for.
