𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙄𝙄 – 𝙑𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙞𝙧, 𝙘'𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙪𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙧

An installation inspired by a singular ingredient.

The dining room at La Bergerie, Capelongue, needed almost no renovation. However, it did need 300 artichokes.

To accomplish this seemingly impossible feat, we cleared out the beautiful artichokes (and artichoke flowers!) within a 10-mile radius of the venue. Sourcing from local florists to local grocery stores.

The final result was a scene of purple and green artichokes against a backdrop of hand stitched linens and unusually large candles.

After dinner, the artichokes were shared amongst the chefs. (A few even made their way into a bridesmaid’s bouquet for the ceremony~!)

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙄 - 𝙇𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣

We’re reminiscing on Found Floral’s first-ever Europe project in Provence, France.

Our first days were spent wandering through antique shops sourcing storied pottery for the welcome party. Each vessel is crafted using a centuries-old *terre vernissée* technique, sealed in a low-fired glaze producing its distinct, rich colors.

Inspired by the French countryside and the humble beauty of Van Gough’s sunflowers, we kept the floral arrangements deceptively simple. Single-ingredient groupings of tulips, sunflowers, and other seasonal blooms. The basil plants, tomatoes, and chili peppers accentuated the bountiful, playful pizza party.

The layered texture of the linens, the color of the bar skirts. Naturally woven into the lively conversations, clinking glasses, and long-awaited reunions of the evening.

Next up, an installation using one of the most unique materials we’ve incorporated – artichokes.

𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙡𝙪𝙚. 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙄𝙄.

We can’t help but pause and admire the thoughtful details in our recent tablescape collaboration.

Inspired by dinner gatherings al fresco in the warm Italian summer nights, every detail was crafted to capture the essence of carefree joy spending time with loved ones over good food and drink.

Marigolds, poppies, and handmade “tomato flowers” anchored the center of the tablescape. A fun “tomato lamp” crafted from real tomatoes and tassels light the table, allowing the party to go on well after the sun has set. Floral motif place cards for the guests interwove with the arrangement, being a part of yet, still standing out from, the lush leaves and fresh tomatoes. “Earloom tomatos” crafted from tomatillos and tomatoes capture the essence of play and levity.

𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙡𝙪𝙚. 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙄.

Inspired by Ariel Clute’s ceramic creations, we teamed up with creative partners Bethany Picone, Nubo Studio and Vada Goods to craft a tablescape inspired by Mediterranean summer getaways.

Nourished by a shared love of travel and craft, we spent an afternoon with Bethany playfully exploring maximalist details celebrating the Italian seaside.

Our table evokes bright Italian summers and intimate gatherings – block printed fabrics, hand painted ceramics, brought to life with a tomato-scape. Whimsical hand crafted “tomato flowers” and a “tomato lamp” complete the scene. The floral and veggie place-cards by Nubo Studio reflect the motifs found on Ariel’s dinnerware; hand-blocked linens sourced by Judy’s recent trip to India are reimagined by Vada Goods. Everything came together to capture the joys of al fresco gathering.

𝘼 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮

Vibrant orchids, deep amaranth and anthurium. Showerings of auspicious reds to highlight a magical night. Honoring the past and welcoming an abundant future.

8.8 is auspicious for many reasons in Chinese culture, but this year, August 8th was special. A celebration of our floral partner and their first anniversary. The night was complete with a bustling mahjong den, the coolest remixes of canto pop, nolstagic clay pot rice. A labor of love from the team bringing the night to life.

Bathed in the soft, red glow of lights, the night was alive with the laughter and celebration of long-time patrons, team members, and community.
