Just a quick reminder, SSC is coming up! If you’re unfamiliar with the event, it’s hosted at I-57 drag-strip and is a competition that consists of a car show, heads up drag racing, and more. You can choose to participate in just the car show, just the racing, or both. Tack opens at 12pm, we will host a drivers meeting at 1pm giving a run down on the event and the rules. We will be providing food throughout the event and awards will be given at the end of the event. Be sure to bring a little extra cash as we will also be selling shirts! Scan the QR code on the flyer to get more details and to register for the event! Don’t be afraid to run what you got! See you all there!

Yes indeed, we’re approaching that time of year! Saluki Street Car! As of right now we are scheduled for Saturday April 11th at I-57 Drag-Strip. Gates open at 11am, traditional test and tune timed runs until 4pm, and after that for whoever wants to stick around will be arm drop racing! The car show and other activities will be going for the duration of the event! Stay tuned for any updates. More information and registration is included in the QR code!

Here’s the updated version of the 2024 SSC flyer. The QR code is a link to the registration form you must fill out to compete. The form also has all the additional information you will need for the event as well as our rules for the event and the rules that must be followed at the track. This event is taking place during i57s test and tune night.

Come on out to race or show off your ride! Come support SIU Students! Bring your friends and family!
