We’re excited to be competing in the Whole Hog BBQ Festival here in Spring Hill, TN! But this weekend is about so much more than BBQ! ❤️

This awesome event raises money for The Well Outreach, an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity and helping families in need. We love being able to do what we love while supporting such a great cause!

🐷Kevin went to Graham this weekend to compete in the BBQ Hall of Fame whole hog cookoff. After judging was complete and scores were tallied, he landed in 2nd place! Congratulations to David Murray on 1st and Kenneth Clark on 3rd!🏆

For the first time in 10 years we had something very unfortunate happen…a piece of metal was found in the pig during judging. The judges and Kevin think it came from the weight tag. Kevin had no way of knowing it was there and it wasn’t something he used or put in the pig. It was completely out of his control. Unfortunately, this mishap from the butcher reflected in his scores.😔

Nothing hurts worse to know you had a beautiful pig and then something like that is found in it and held against you.😔

Oh well…you move on to the next one.
