Cooking seafood feasts for very special guests this week. Fresh mussels in a coconut curry broth with onion, garlic, pineapple & cilantro along with huge steamed lobster, cheddar bay biscuits & and boiled red potatoes tossed in butter garlic, old bay & fresh dill. It was a feast fit for a matriarch and her four generations at one table.

I had the honor of preparing a dear friend's special birthday dinner this week. It was a wonderful day filled with food, laughs and good company. And my lemon blueberry cheesecake was a perfect end to the evening.

This one's a winner folx! Harissa roasted carrots with a maple lime & allspice yogurt sauce & pomegranate aril. Cilantro for garnish would have made it 🤌🏻

I was in a creative mood yesterday which led to trying out several new dishes! Highlights were

Roasted white sweet potatoes with a garlic maple & lime glaze served with a cranberry & orange whipped ricotta & goat cheese sauce.

Gluten Free Zucchini Fritters with a masa batter that will pair well with my weekly green goddess dressing

My Tuesday client and I have been experimenting with dessert masa this past month. Today's offerings were a honeyed apple rosemary masa cake that was truly spectacular and I'll be writing a recipe up for soon. Also photo worthy was a beautiful breakfast casserole with breakfast sausage, red peppers, cottage cheese, tomatoes and fresh herbs.
