Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Assisting in planning arrangements according to client's requirements or select appropriate standard design pattern.

- Conferring with clients regarding price and type of arrangement desired and the date, time, and place of delivery.

The charming carnation is the January flower of the month (sharing the title with the snow drop flower). They are long-lasting flowers and available in a wide array of colors – each of the colors having specialized meanings. Pink carnations carry the greatest significance, because its believed they first appeared on earth from the Virgin Mary's tears – making them the symbol of a mother's undying love.

The scientific name is Dianthus caryphyllus, dianthus being Greek for “flower of the gods.” It’s believed that “carnation” was inspired by the word, “coronation” because of its use in Greek ceremonial crowns.

This flower symbolizes hope, wealth, and good fortune. Because of its connection to the idea of hope, it has become the symbol of many cancer societies. Though usually white or yellow, the flower most associated with December is the paper-white, an early blooming narcissus variety with powerfully fragrant clustered flowers.

Crysanthemums are representative of November.

The chrysanthemum symbolizes joy and beauty despite the oncoming colder months. The name is a fusion of the words “chrysos” meaning gold, and “anthemon” meaning flower. Marigolds are the flower of the month for October. They are part of the Calendula family, which means “little clock.” All marigolds are variations of yellow, orange, and red, and therefore all have the same basic symbolism.

The name is derived from the flower’s initial use as an offering to the Virgin Mary as a substitute for gold coins. They symbolize beauty, joy, warmth, and a drive to succeed. Some cultures consider them a representation of grief; in Mexico, they are popularly displayed during the Dia de Muertos.

Marigolds are perfect flowers to give on practically any occasion. Aside from being recognized as a symbol of joy, they are perfect when given as gifts at religious ceremonies or memorials for those who have passed away.

It’s September! This month’s flower is the Aster. ⁠💜

The August flower is the Gladiolus. Also known as "sword lillies" because of the shape of their leaves, this flower is known for its large, colorful blooms. These flowers typically reach between 2 and 5 feet in height and their blooms can be qualified in a range from “miniature” at less than 3 inches in diameter, to “giant” flowers that can be up to 5 inches across.

The August flower symbolizes remembrance, integrity, and infatuation. If you receive a Gladiolus, it could indicate that the sender's heart is “pierced with love.”
