How to make your own quick and easy ice cream cake at home.
You will need:
•Ice cream sandwiches, this is a 3x3 cake, 3 layers with 3 sandwiches per layer
•Icing, this cake was for a 4th of July party so I used red, white, and blue icing but you can use whichever colors you desire
•Sprinkles
And that’s it, see I told you quick and easy.
Assembly: Lay down your first layer of ice cream sandwiches and then a layer of icing and sprinkles if you so choose. Then, lay down another layer of ice cream sandwiches perpendicular to the first layer. Add another layer of icing and optional sprinkles. Place atleast one more layer of ice cream sandwiches going in the same direction as the first layer. If you want to add more layers make sure to alternate the direction of the ice cream sandwiches as you build. Pro tip, if you go much higher you may want to insert chop sticks down through the cake in the corners to keep it straight and give it stability, but make sure you remove them before chowing down. Coat all the sides and top with icing and add sprinkles to the top and sides if you please. Place your cake in the freezer for a minimum of two hours to get it set properly. FYI you need to move fast while assembling the cake because it will start to melt if you take your time. And that’s it, boom you’re done. You’ve just made your own ice cream cake at home, enjoy 😊
