The Witches’ Harvest Festival has been postponed until 2027.

Due to several circumstances affecting this year’s gathering, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Witches’ Harvest Festival rather than present a diminished version of what it is intended to become.

This is not the end of the Red Feast. We’ll use the additional time to regroup, strengthen the gathering, and prepare for its return next autumn.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest, applied to participate, purchased a speaker pass, or agreed to be part of this year’s event. Ticket holders will receive full refunds, and we’ll be contacting participants directly.

More information about the 2027 gathering will be shared as plans develop.

🍎 **CALL FOR MAKERS — THE WITCHES HARVEST FESTIVAL**

**Made • Grown • Gathered • Crafted**

AltFestEvents is looking for makers, craftspeople, wildcrafters, artists, growers, foodmakers and other interesting people to join us for **The Witches Harvest Festival — The Red Feast**, Saturday, September 19 in Barberton, Ohio.

We're especially interested in work that is handmade, grown, gathered, preserved or rooted in traditional skills and regional culture:

• Wildcrafting, foraging, herbs & botanicals
• Brooms, basketry, woodcraft & natural-material crafts
• Beeswax, honey & candle making
• Fiber arts, weaving, embroidery & folk dolls
• Pottery, glass, metalwork & printmaking
• Folk art, handmade books & unusual creations
• Apples, breads, preserves & traditional foods
• Folklore, storytelling, books & local history
• Artisans demonstrating their craft

We're particularly interested in **Appalachian, Slavic, Central and Eastern European, Pennsylvania Dutch and other regional folk traditions** — but we're interested in discovering things we haven't thought of, too.

And yes, there is still plenty of room for the **witchy, magical, curious and strange.**

Witches Harvest isn't intended to be simply another metaphysical marketplace. We're creating a gathering around **harvest, folklore, traditional crafts, food, storytelling, creativity and the changing of the season.**

If what you make doesn't fit neatly into a category, **we'd especially like to hear from you.**

Sharing this because the spirit behind it resonates deeply with what we hope to embody in our own gatherings — remembrance, communal expression, handmade spectacle, public ritual, music, conscience, and the refusal to become numb.

Much respect to Bread and Puppet Theater founder Peter Schumann and his continuing work of “Unforgetting.”

ALT FEST EVENTS is seeking brass bands, folk-punk ensembles, accordion players, tavern choirs, street musicians, winter revelers, and strange musical collectives for BOXING DAY — part of the White Feast December Series — a post-Christmas gathering of grievances, revelry, release, and communal cheer.

We are looking for acts rooted in participation, atmosphere, emotional release, and communal energy — music that feels alive among the people rather than separated by a stage.

Somewhere between a biosterous winter folk gathering, the brass-driven revelry of the Brixton Windmill scene, the absurd cabaret spirit of Those Darn Accordions, and a Gogol Bo****lo fever dream.
