📢 HB1052 UPDATE

We’re excited to share that State Representative Jeff Keicher has officially been added as a co-sponsor of HB1052.

Thank you to bill sponsor State Representative Dave Vella, along with co-sponsor State Representative Steve Reick, and Senator Dave Syverson for their continued leadership and support of this legislation.

HB1052 is an important step toward creating fair and consistent regulations for mobile food vendors across Illinois, and we appreciate the lawmakers who are willing to listen and support small businesses.

Momentum is continuing to build — thank you to everyone who has been following and supporting this effort.

You are invited to join other food trucks in the industry for the FIRST ever Fall Festival Food Truck Wedding Expo! This event is ONLY for food trucks and it is going to be big!!!🎉

Attendees will include Wedding Couples, and Event/Wedding Planners. Invitations will be sent out by each of the hosts and marketed all throughout social media and websites. There will also be a Facebook Event created for you to share with your customer base.

Expo Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm all vendors are requested to offer bite size samples of the food of your choice for the wedding couples to sample. From 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm the event is open to the public and you will be able to SELL food and beverages of your choice.

Venue Location: Revelry 675|675 S River St,| Batavia, IL 60510 The expo will take place on the lush grounds that extend to the Fox River. There is also a 1,200 square foot patio for attendees to sit, relax and taste your offerings.

Registration fee is $200, EARLY BIRDS who register by August 18th will get a $50 discount.

Requirements:
Must be a licensed food vender
Must obtain a Kane County food service permit
Must send in a Certificate of Insurance naming Revelry 675 as the additional insured
Optional: Attendee give away or raffle

Fellow food truck owners. What is your policy on potential clients asking for a fee? My company asks for a guarantee minimum when a fee is requested. If they ask for $100, then we ask for a $1000 guarantee. A fee should never be more the 10% of sales.

We need state laws governing food trucks. These local fees are killing us. We can't accomplish this alone. Food Truck owners, thoughts on joining the Illinois Restaurant Association? If they would welcome us. Many restaurants owners have trucks and many of us aspire to own a restaurant. Thoughts?
