As always Grace & Jade Photography helps magic come to life. This love story reminded me of one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs “Love in the Library” as this is where this love story started. Many chapters came before but this one was special.

It made me so happy to talk to the groom and see the anticipation on his face as he began the walk down to the tree to the first look. Then to speak with the bride before she went to show him the dress she picked out for him and their special moment.

From the life before to the story of the bracelets they had it was an amazing story that started a fresh chapter with only us lucky few who were there to witness it. To me the moment after I pronounced them husband and wife. The way they lingered there in the greenhouse. Just sharing some private words while soaking that moment in for themselves.. It was magical in ways that I was blessed to be apart of.

I get to witness amazing moments, but few top the day I shared at Shenandoah National park with a couple’s love story unfolding. Hiked in with the bride, her best friend, and Sierra from Grace & Jade Photography. We chatted about their journey-how they got here. Then, I went back to meet the groom, hiked with him, and really dove into their story. That moment wasn’t just a moment-it was everything, built from four years of love. Her surprise for him was phenomenal, and being part of their special day was pure magic.

These moments shared between couples are truly magical. As they stand there, speaking their vows, exchanging rings, and perhaps even performing a handfasting, time seems to slow to a whisper. I always remind them to focus solely on each other in that instant—let the world fade away and allow the moment to envelop you both. Be fully present for one another, cherishing every glance and word. It passes by in a blink and becomes a cherished memory all too soon, so soak it in deeply, letting it etch itself into their hearts forever. Its moments like these I'm so glad I get to work with Grace & Jade Photography as she captures the moments so they last forever.

C & A’s rainy greenhouse elopement wasn’t just a ceremony—it was a soft, soul-level surrender. A second chance. A deep breath after years of holding it in. As the storm rolled in, so did the memories. The heartbreak. The grief. The hope.

And as they spoke their vows—with voices cracking, hands shaking, and eyes blurred with tears—the rain kissed their shoulders like a quiet blessing. The world melted away. It was just them, standing in the moody twilight, choosing each other again and again.

The greenhouse glowed. The air was thick with emotion. And for a moment, time slowed down.
