📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR EVENT VENUES & ALCOHOL SERVICE PROVIDERS
Beginning July 1, 2026, the Marissa Murrow Act will go into effect in Oklahoma.

Under the new law, individuals serving alcoholic beverages at an event venue will be required to obtain an Event Bartender License, regardless of the type of event being held. The legislation also establishes in-person training requirements for event venue bartender licensees.

The Marissa Murrow Act was enacted through House Bill 2369 (2025 Legislative Session), creating new licensing provisions and defining “event venue” under Oklahoma alcoholic beverage laws.

This legislation is designed to strengthen accountability, promote responsible alcohol service, and enhance public safety across Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma ABLE Commission will continue providing education and resources to help businesses, venue operators, and alcohol service professionals prepare for these changes before the law takes effect.

This wedding was very close to my heart. I’ve known Anne Marie for 5 years now. We’ve served together at church, prayed together, and had amazing girls nights laughing at everything with a cup of coffee in our hands. Getting to be a part of her wedding day was an honor I honestly can’t fully put into words. I cried more than once.

And Seth… he absolutely adores her. Through out the evening he’d look over at me and say, “That’s my wife!” You could see the love written all over his face every single time he looked at her. He truly picked an incredible woman. He is pretty great himself.

I completely failed at taking photos (I stole these from a friend 😅) and videos because I was so caught up in the moment, but I’ll definitely share more once the photographer and videographer send everything over and I will tag all the vendors.
