He has published nearly 100 articles in publications including Down East, Canoe & Kayak, and the Bangor Daily News. His day job is teaching high school English at Deer Island/Stonington high school. We are pleased to introduce K.W. Bernard as an attending author at this year's Bangor Authors' Book Fair and Literary Festival!

Tucked away in a shadowy wood while creatures of the night and bad guys with blades whisper in her ear, K.W. writes spicy dark fantasy full of monsters, magic, and mayhem. Her background in ecology instilled a fascination with predator-prey relationships, and she thinks fires burn hottest between enemies. When she isn’t tormenting her morally gray characters, K.W. enjoys roller skating, skimboarding, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
