October is festival overload around North Georgia. Some weeks we’re running two festivals on the same day in different cities. It is crazy, but we love it.
When Cherokee Recreation and Parks met with us about a new art event, we knew one thing… it couldn’t be another cookie-cutter fall festival.
Don’t get us wrong, we love fall. I love our fall events. But Cherokee County did not need another kid-centric day packed with costume contests, trick-or-treating, and hayrides. Hell, new ones are popping up every day.
Actually, we needed an escape from those type of events!
We knew we had to create a place for people who want something richer, smoother, and more soulful than hay bales and candy buckets. A day to eat incredible food, sip great wine, browse amazing art, and lose yourself in music that was born right here in the South....jazz.
That’s how the Cherokee County Art & Jazz Festival was born.
From the moment you step through the gates, you’ll feel it. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill October Saturday. We are creating this to be an immersive experience. The food, the drinks, the art, the music… it all flows together into something unforgettable.
Plan on staying the whole day, because this isn’t a festival you “drop by.” This is where you post up, settle in, and spend the afternoon surrounded by other adults who just want to eat, drink, listen, and soak it all in.
We love pumpkins, scarecrows, and superheroes as much as anyone. But on this day, we trade them in for saxophones, paintbrushes, and wine glasses.
Go follow the event page and if you are an artist or music-centric retail vendor, go sign-up to be part of it (link in comments).
