We’ve been a little quiet on here with wedding content this summer, but that’s definitely not because we weren’t busy! 🤍

Between planning, coordinating, running events, and occasionally remembering to manage our own social media, we’ve got a whole lot of beautiful moments to catch you up on!

Starting with one of our favorites, Adelia + Jack’s gorgeous wedding at IslandWood!

What we love most about wedding coordination is everything that happens behind the scenes. Perfecting timelines, managing vendors, navigating tricky family dynamics, anticipating the unexpected, and making sure you get to actually ENJOY your day.

We know the local wedding industry inside and out, and we’re pretty darn good at getting things done without passing the stress along to you.

It’s been a BIG year for weddings at Bainbridge Events, and 2027 is already filling up fast! Just ONE August date left!

Tomorrow’s the day! Bainbridge Oktoberfest is back for year two, and we’re ready to celebrate with you!

Join us Saturday, October 3, from 2–9 PM at the Boathouse + Waterfront Park. Free admission, all ages, and a full afternoon of local b**r, w**e & c***r, delicious food, kids’ activities, and entertainment with returning hosts Stephanie Reese & Beau Ross.

The Bavarian B**r Garden Band takes the outdoor stage from 5–9 PM!

Break out your dirndls and lederhosen and join the costume and stein-holding contests. Top winners in both get a $100 gift card to the new Blind Butcher!

Save room for our 4:30 PM pie-eating contest, sponsored by Town & Country Markets. Contestants wanted! Ages 15+; guardian consent required for ages 15–17.

Oktoberfest is bringing the fun all afternoon long!

Stephanie Reese & Beau Ross are back as your hosts, keeping things moving with stein-holding, costume, yodeling and pie-eating contests, plus interactive dances, performances and a Sound of Music sing-along.

Then at 5 PM, the Bavarian B**r Garden Band takes over the Main Stage at Waterfront Park for an evening of live music.

Come ready to eat, drink, compete, sing along, or just enjoy the show. All ages welcome!

We’re bringing back a full day of local food and drinks, live music, contests, family fun and plenty of Oktoberfest festivities.

And that’s a wrap on one of the wildest and most rewarding experiences of my life.

Since stepping into the role of Project Event Manager for Bainbridge Island’s Grand Old Fourth with the Bainbridge Island Chamber back in March, I have been fully immersed in every aspect of this incredible event. It pushed me, taught me so much about large-scale event production and management, and gave me the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team of community leaders, volunteers, sponsors, businesses, nonprofits, and participants who make this tradition possible.

From the many late nights designing what turned out to be the iconic (and high-demand!) Bay Hay shirts featuring my red, white, and blue ferries, along with this year’s event posters and graphics, to serving as Parade Marshal and helping nearly 100 parade entries safely take to the streets, It was such a dream come true and a real privilege to have been involved in overseeing every facet of this incredible day. Along with getting the opportunity to get to know and work with so many fantastic people.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity, proud of what our team accomplished, and honored to have played a role in one of Bainbridge Island’s favorite traditions.

Now I’m ready for a much-needed break… although if you know me, you know I am already dreaming about next year. ❤️🤍💙

P.S. In true Sam fashion, I spent yesterday running around like a mad woman from 5:00 a.m. until after 7:00 p.m., with my amazing husband either by my side or hustling across the event footprint helping wherever he was needed. As a result, I managed to get almost no photos of myself or my family. 😂 Here are a couple I snagged along the way. If anyone happened to catch us in action, I’d love to see them!

Volunteers Needed for the Grand Old 4th 🇺🇸

Be part of one of Bainbridge Island’s favorite community traditions.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, parade operations, street fair support, Family Fun Zone activities, shuttle assistance, b**r garden operations, teardown, and more.

Volunteers receive snacks and drinks courtesy of Town & Country Market, Grand Old 4th swag, and an invitation to our annual volunteer appreciation party after we all recover.

Whether you can give a few hours or spend the day with us, we’d love to have you on the team.
