YES PLEASE. ❤

Having your pet there for part of your day will not only make your photos extra adorable, but also more memorable. This wedding was from a while back, but the dog definitely puts it over the top on the cuteness scale! 😍

Congrats to this adorable family! ❤ This little guy is pretty lucky to have two awesome big bro's to lead him through life.
These boys were so sweet and caring anytime their little bro needed a little soothing. Honestly so heart warming.🥰

A couple of reasons why I LOVE backyard style weddings-

-Authenticity of the moment. When you are at a place you love, a place you feel comfortable, it is easier to let your consciousness of the day disappear a little and be present in each moment. I truly notice a huge difference in the number smiles when couples are at a place they feel comfy and at home.

-Flexibility. You can do whatever you want, and don't have to follow any rules! Ok, ok, maybe your basic laws😅 but you get what I mean! If you want a certain theme, style, design, etc, we can make it happen! I've gotten to know a lot of amazing vendors who offer services on a mobile basis as well as rentals, and I'm more than happy to help you connect!

-The great outdoors! Honestly, I can't hide the fact that I LOVE having the option of being outdoors, especially for photos. Of course, partly because of the outdoor lighting, but also back to what I said earlier about the authenticity of the moment- being outdoors always has a certain feeling that just magnifies everything.

I have quite a few amazing backyard style weddings planned for this summer, and I am so excited!!!! Always open to new visions and ideas. ❤

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is kind of like a tropical paradise inside of a snow globe. 🔮

This place definitely inspired me to buy at least 10 new houseplants. Such a beautiful indoor wedding venue!

Such a sweet little family and adorable new baby. 😍 I can't get over how much he looks like his big brother did at his newborn session!

I loved catching up with these guys and am giggling thinking of all the creative ways we got big bro to smile. 😆

Okay but for real, The Grands at Mulligans has the cutest getting ready area, with the BEST natural lighting for photos! 😍 Always one of my fav venues.

Natural lighting isn't 100% necessary at any given location on your wedding day- I have no prob using my flash (and actually really like that vibe too), but I gotta say, it really adds some magic to photos to consider a venue with great lighting!❤

Couples- If you are planning your wedding and need some help or even a second opinion about these types of things, I include planning assistance at no additional cost and can give you the best tips from a photographer perspective. I love to chat and be as much a part of the planning process as you would like! 🙂

2024 has been such an amazing year!!

I've been kinda awful with keeping up with social media this year -so I wanted to share photos from every family, senior, couple, etc, from 2024 but it got to be too much for one post so had to limit it 🥲 but I love you all and had the most fun year.

Honestly photography is my creative escape in life, it is so good for my soul and truly makes me happy, like I can't fully describe it, but I leave each session with a giddy/happy feeling that is so specific to photography. Kind of like a certain energy. I guess kinda how people who enjoy running feel, but I've never really related to that personally😅.

Looking back through all of these photos today from various weddings and sessions, makes me feel so incredible thankful to have the life I do, filled with so many individuals who I can connect with through a language of creativity, and be able to share in so many moments of love and happiness together. It's hard to explain, but it's like those are the best things in life, and I get to be a little bit part of that with clients. It just feels like we are sharing something special, and it is so cool to me! ❤

Okay, sorry, I'm kind of sappy but it is so special to me and a big part of what makes me happy as a person, and looking through these today made me reflect on that.🥹

I typically do a new years giveaway, and 100% am still going to (later this evening, stay tuned), but I wanted to do a separate post just to simply share how grateful I am for this year, and how much I look forward to the adventures that 2025 has to offer!

I'm so excited to get out and play in the snow!!! Especially after such a dry winter last year, I feel like this pre-Christmas snowfall is extra magical and such perfect timing. 🥹
