Glad You Made It

Glad You Made It Glad You Made It (GUMI) is a collective of creatives driven to broaden live music and art events for people that practice all types of recovery.

Glad You Made It (GUMI) is born from a desire to create spaces where people practicing RECOVERY—and anyone seeking deeper connection—can experience music, art, and community. What began as an annual event called Recovery Takeover evolved into a full movement: a commitment to building a culture centered around connection, not consumption. Today, GUMI produces events that revive the joy of going out

—where the music is live, the presence is real, and the vibe is rooted in community. Every event raises funds for recovery and mental health nonprofits, turning good energy into lasting support. We’re here to celebrate life in full color—and we’re glad you made it.

From battling addiction since his teens to finding strength in connection, Anthony’s story proves no one has to feel alone. Come sing, heal, and be part of something bigger. 🎶

Curious about our name?

It all started in a little meeting with friends, tossing around ideas while planning a sober show. We tossed around "Glad You Made It" for a art installation, but what came was much more.

It honored our past, present and future. And gave us the warm fuzzy's because all of us had a journey with being on the other side. That spirit became Glad You Made It (GUMI): a community built around music, art, and the shared joy of being present.

We are Glad You Made It. 🫠

The 3rd Annual Sober X South East Recovery Takeover filled Empire Control Room & Garage with music from Wheatus, The Unlikely Candidates, Angel White, Ruthie Craft, and more.

Featuring three stages, live muralists, and a sober-friendly atmosphere, the event supported The SIMS Foundation and RecoveryATX.

Stay up to date with our page for more announcements on upcoming events coming soon!
