This ✨One Silly Goose✨ backdrop almost broke us.

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, no matter how well you prepare. This was one of those times. Praise God for a sweet client and the kindest host who helped us laugh through uncooperative vinyl, 25 mph wind gusts, and more than a few meltdowns.

But when their adorable little boy sat in that high chair and smiled like it was the best day of his life, we were reminded exactly why we do this—for the joy. ✨🩵

There are so many moments in life worth celebrating: first birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, new beginnings, and all the ordinary moments that become extraordinary when shared with the people you love.

At Oak & Evelyn, we don’t just love creating beautiful spaces or managing the details. We love being part of the memories. We love celebrating alongside families, sharing in their excitement, and helping create moments they’ll look back on for years to come.

Because at the end of the day, it’s never really about the backdrop.

This One’s For The Girls ✨💗 We had a chance to get our creative juices flowing last month for a Galentine’s Dinner Party! The ladies grabbed their cutest pink pajamas and rolled through for dinner, dessert, and a DIY charm bar! Moms had a night off and we got to to do one of our favorite things - HOST! We had so much fun decorating for this and making it a memorable time with people that we love so much!

WE ARE ALIVE & DECORATING! ✨👏🏾😅

November 2025 marked a LARGE and personal project for us - our own wedding! Where did we go you ask? WELL, I (Eryka) DIY’d a little too hard and needed a long break over the holidays. That decision was quickly followed by several weeks of back to back colds/flus/and COVID. There were signs…..but I didn’t give myself the rest I needed. If run a small business, you know - when you’re burning the midnight oil and you refuse to take care of yourself, God will force it for you! While unexpected, we needed the time to adjust to life and the challenges has brought us over the last couple of months.

BUT WE ARE BACK, BABY! Thank you all for checking in on us, your patience and understanding. We love you guys! We are still taking bookings for Fall/Winter of 2026! Let us help make your next event one to remember! 🤍
