Well HERD FLOCK was insane this year. This was my favorite one to date. The turn out was killer, tons of campers, tons of vendors and OSP food truck killed it too. Not to mention all 25 bands came to slay and they did just that. Everyone showed, no call outs, some of the most professional talented bands i've ever worked with, and so many in one weekend at that. I wanna do my thank yous.. Pete Lilly and Pete Sr. for giving us a home for a festival like this and making sure it goes as smooth as possible (Like when a generator blows up).
Thanks to the HERD FLOCK team Dwan Russell, Kayla Briggs, Ashley Hyde Christopher J. Brown, Megan Wagoner. These 5 people handle a ton of the behind the scenes stuff, landscaping, safety, as well as run the check in all weekend. We couldn't do it without all of them.
Thanks to Barracuda Sound Productions for providing amazing sound to all 25 bands. The amount of drive, dedication and passion you have for the music scene is unmatchable.
Thanks to Corey Vintinner for building us a stage thats hosted three of the most epic outdoor metal shows in Maine. Thanks to Noah and Ivanaa our security team. Thanks Lenny Smith at Lennyvision Filmworks, Ltd. for catching the whole weekend, you are a legend Lenny. Chris Kates at Voodoo Media for snapping amazing photos all weekend. Thanks to Christopher Leighton for providing half the backline and being drum tech for the weekend. Your whole aura was fire man its always a pleasure. Thanks to Al Pike again for being a killer stage hand and being cool when I'm hot lol. Tattoodave WindhamPeterson for providing his amazing tent, and helping with the extra generator. You have supported this fest since it began, love ya man.
HUGE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO THE BANDS! You all made this weekend one to remember. Some came from near some came from far, everyone gave it their absolute all and it showed, band after band. So shout out to Loki, Iron Gate, Stillborn Condition, Dead in Your Eyes, VIQUEEN, S.C.O.B.Y., Anatomy of a Thief, Thy Enemyy, In The Kingdom Of Nightmares, Midnight Possession, Thousand Mile Falll, VRSA, I, the Conqueror, Destination: Void, TRAWL, Manuel, The Hailing Tides, Stand Abandoned, Dawn of End, Empty Halls, Cytokine, Slam Pig, Paradise is Cancelledd and The Burial Curse . I have so much respect and love for you all and you all are doing great things. What a weekend!
The team is calculating the rest of the expenses we need to cover and we will have the total donation amount calculated, by the end of this week! We will drop off the donation on first day of school at Richmond Middle School to be split amongst their music programs. So thank you, everyone who came and helped out the cause, supported the bands and enjoyed the show! I had so many good conversations with many of you this year. Tell your friends to come next year.
