Spring was chilly and calm, with a growing sense of faster paced days coming soon. Those days are here, I’m pretty sure, and I’m ready for the challenge of facing each one as it comes! Whatever each week brings, it’s sure to be beautiful and exactly what my soul needed 🫶🏽 I’m so excited for warm summer nights that include stunning views, incredible people and kiddos, and so many memories made with all of you! 💗

Now that sweet Rory is officially ONE, I’m sharing their sweet family session and an extra dose of adorable baby portraits. I love capturing babies like the little people they are, and when you can really see their personality shine through! Thank you, Emperato fam (and Podolak fam! 🏆) for enduring this chilly spring day with me! 💗

Anna & Brandon 💗 I don’t think any weather would have stopped this day from being so fun and effortlessly beautiful! And the rain even gave us a reprieve so we could get some portraits with THAT VIEW 😍🙌🏽 Also worth mentioning - I love a bride with the zoomies 😆🏃🏽‍♀️It’s your wedding day, if you’re so happy that you want to run in that big dress please go for it! 🤘🏼

Sometimes I wonder if my reception coverage is all over the place, a mess, even 😬 but… I am all over the place and it sometimes gets messy! 😆 When I look back as I edit these parties it feels like I’m right back in the room. The energy shines through all of those photos, and narrowing them down into a little story of its own is so special to me… even if they’re “just dancing photos” and people getting more wild! I know I have fun making it into art 🙌🏽💗

Night two of festivities for Anu & Ian ❤️ Their ceremony was so wonderfully lead by Anu’s brother who took the time to share about each part for those of us who were new to their beautiful cultural traditions. The love in the room was truly felt, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed and captured such a special, meaningful union for these two ❤️

Anu & Ian, a whole weekend blending cultures in celebration of their love 💗 Friday’s festivities shown here included an intimate ceremony earlier in the day at City Hall and later on, Haldi, where their loved ones blessed them and showered them with love (and rice!) I loved their easygoing, colorful, delicious, beautiful version of the Hindu tradition which is a prequel to Saturdays ceremony ✨

Imagine being a baby and having no idea how cool your parents are, yet 😏

Loved capturing these two in their final weeks before baby boy arrives! I met Danielle during my very short stint at college and feel lucky to have stayed connected all these years. It always feels as though I meet people for a specific reason, and then the universe shows the full circle, years and years later 💗

Fresh 48, anyone remember those?! 🥹 I was so sad to see these special sessions go away thanks to covid, but dare I say we’re back?! There is something so sacred about these first days together, and being invited into this space to capture it is not something I take lightly. Time fades away (except for those every 3 hour checks, phew I don’t miss that!) and you’re just in this little version of reality, bonding with your new baby before beginning a grand adventure together 🥹💗 It’s more than aesthetic photos to post of your new baby, this session is about capturing a feeling and freezing a small sliver of time that otherwise can feel like you’re waiting for life to begin - and the beginning is so worth remembering 🤍
