I used to get so worked up and defensive, when I felt like my character was being attacked. Looking back, I realize, what I thought was anger, was really just conviction of the Holy Spirit. Cause I knew what was being said of me, was true.

I know what it’s like to live a double life, cause I’ve been there. Claiming the title “Christian” while also being worldly. Thank God I’ve grown up and matured in my faith. I still make mistakes and have my moments of weakness, but it no longer bothers me when people make accusations about my walk with Christ. Because I know who I am, compared to who I was.

So when people bring things to your attention, regarding your lifestyle…
Try being slow to anger, be still, and listen to what the Holy Spirt might be trying to tell you.

Don’t be so quick to respond, cause what we say, and how we say it, truly matters. Especially when we’re supposed to be a representation of Jesus.

This post is just as much for me, as it is for anyone else.

Until we take our own feelings, and selfish desires, out of the equation, everything we say and do, will be deceitful. Cause we’d be operating from a place of self, from our flesh, instead of operating from a place of Christ.
