Valentine’s Day seems like the perfect time to announce that Grace’s Garden Floral Design is closing up shop. To me- Grace’s Garden started from love! When Kristin’s girlfriend, Brittany, asked me to do her wedding flowers- of course I would- I have loved Brittany since she was five years old. I had taken one flower class and have loved flowers since I was a little girl. How hard could it be? It didn’t take me long to find out that it was a lot more than flowers. Since 2015, we have been lucky enough to be part of 71 weddings. Becoming a small business owner was definitely out of my box- as my patient partner/daughter would tell you. But it worked ,and only worked because I was blessed to be loved by some amazing family and friends. I think that is what made Grace’s Garden a little more unique than other florists. Everyone that was a part of this little business was family or friend. Whether it was building an arbor, helping prep flowers, strategically loading our SUV fleet, or working a 12 hour wedding day. They were always there; always smiling and encouraging me that it would all work out! I wish I could list every single person- just know that I could never have done it without you. Which brings us to my daughter Kristin- who balanced a full time job, a marriage and eventually 2 precious babies AND still helped whenever I needed her. She was always my biggest cheerleader and therapist! I hope that we made you all smile with our posts throughout the years- whether it was flowers, brides, puppies or my precious grandchildren. I also hope that maybe this is your sign to go out of the box and take a chance on whatever your passion may be. If you do it with LOVE, you can’t lose. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! XO
