What if โresistant,โ โinconsistent,โ or โdisengagedโ doesnโt tell the whole story? ๐ง ๐
Parent and caregiver engagement is an important part of effective behavioral services, but stress can influence how caregivers communicate, participate, and respond to providers. What professionals see on the surface may not always reflect what a caregiver is experiencing underneath.
Join us for Out of Survival Mode: Applying Stress Science and Psychological Safety to Strengthen Parent and Caregiver Engagement, an interactive training created specifically to help RBTs better understand caregiver behavior through the lens of stress science and psychological safety.
Weโll explore:
โจ Key features of the stress response and how stress may present in caregiver interactions
โจ How psychological safety can reduce stress-related barriers to engagement
โจ How everyday interactions with providers can either create barriers or strengthen partnership
โจ A practical, stress-informed framework for supporting collaboration
โจ Strategies RBTs can use to strengthen caregiver engagement while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
By the end of the training, participants will have practical tools for creating more supportive interactions, strengthening psychological safety, and promoting meaningful caregiver engagement within the RBT role.
