We believe much remains uncharted in the craft of distilling spirits - new grain profiles, new distillation and aging techniques, new flavors, and ultimately, entirely new experiences for those who enjoy a dram. By constantly re-evaluating traditional methods, we hope to contribute in some small way to the discoveries that await. The Distillery was the original startup, and with us, we hope to keep the innovation flowing.

Meet Previn, our Clear Spirits Distiller. Previn started at ASW Whiskey Exchange on the bar staff and as a manager. Justin saw how good Previn was at leading our bottling line and brought him on to help with production and packaging full time. He still continues to run that side of production while also taking on the title of ASW’s Clear Spirits Distiller! Meet Whit, our Distiller. Whit started on our bottling line and then started mashing for us and eventually worked his way up to distilling with Justin. Whit’s first whiskey he ever mashed was Fiddler Syncopation. And one of his passion projects was our Toasted Series: Fiddler Toasted Bourbon & Toasted Rye. Whit loves skateboarding and tattoo art and is the lead singer in a band. Give a shoutout to Whit below!

Meet Justin, our Master Distiller. Justin is one of our partners here at ASW and has been here since the very beginning. Druid Hill and Red X are two of his favorite whiskeys that he has made. He designed and distilled the 8 Malt Whiskeys that have won Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Justin loves 'coondogs', fiddling and malt whiskey. Bibbity Bobbity Bourbon! Recent research has found that Bourbon is best enjoyed with someone named Jim, which is why our Co-Founder is named Jim, as was our most recent gift recipient. We had a blast attending all 3 nights of 's recent Atlanta shows, bringing him some of our most sought-after bottles, and waxing poetic about the bourbon industry at large. WE ARE ALMOST 10 (We are 9...)! And we want to celebrate it! To do that we will be releasing our oldest single malt whiskey ever!

ASW American Single Malt Whiskey is the first batch of American Single Malt that he distilled on our twin Vendome copper pot stills in the spring of 2017 from a grain-in mash of the malted barley. Distilled from 100% malted barley and aged for 8 years, we believe it to be the finest expression of the category available, and we trust you'll tend to agree.

A few days ago, Jim, Kelly, and Charlie were honored to join the Georgia Department of Economic Development on their trade mission to Argentina and Brazil, along with fellow Georgia business AMI Group.

As a distillery born and built in Georgia, it was inspiring to represent Georgia’s vibrant agricultural and manufacturing communities in conversations about entrepreneurship, partnership, and international expansion.

We’re grateful to the Georgia Department of Economic Development for including us and are proud to be part of Georgia's story on the global stage.
