I can't overstate the love I have for this building, with all of its quirks and history and charm. My journey with her began with a dream. In it, I was standing in the middle of my "store" in the middle of this building, and I woke up with a certainty about the direction my life would take from that moment on. At the time, I was a working actor and ran our independent record label out of our home in Lake Claire, co-owned with my husband at the time. So, I woke up with the certainty but also with no idea about ANYTHING else. I just knew it would be. Then, the call came from the previous tenants of this space a mere few hours later, and the rest is history.
Flash forward 23 years and 8 months later, and changes are afoot in this building that has been so good to me for so damn long. My landlords have some new, exciting things in store (welcome Lost in Letters and Little Tart), and we get to move down to the other end of the building. Many of you know that I've been threatening to bring back my boutique, and now, I get to use our mini move as a way to follow through on all my threats.
This is an extremely long winded way of saying we aren't going anywhere, just shifting down a few doors, and we literally cannot wait. Yay to change and transformation and new neighbors and old friends and neighbors. Just yay to all of it.
Appreciate all of the support from the neighborhood- you've been so very good to me. Please come out and celebrate with us in the new space on or around our 24th birthday on October 22nd. More on that to follow. xx Kelly

Attention to all introverted brides! Booking a Monday appointment (or a week day in general) is a GREAT idea. The shop is more laid back and chill and you can take your tome. A lot of our brides who are still figuring out what they want like to come on a Thursday afternoon and try on styles by themselves with a stylist. Weekends usually need to be booked three weeks in advance but you can usually grab a last minute one during the week. Currently we’re prepping our new samples from (hence the chaos). Holding up fort by my lonesome (one advantage of living close by on snow days) and loving the quiet and still feelings of today. I've had a couple of brides make the trek, but mostly have been reconnecting with this incredible space and reflecting on 23 years. I see so many of my old closeters and brides everywhere around me- you have left your mark. Starting with the one and only , who was just the best and not only ushered me through our renovations but dug these light fixtures out of god knows where. (Maybe Kutzu Antiques???) Thank you to all of you who have left something behind from your time here and made this space what it is today. Sending love and well wishes for this new year.
