As food service professionals we have been advised to suspend all meals or purchase of any and all poultry.

This meeting was held by Georgia Agriculture Commissioner.

I wanted to make sure the Kingdom is safe and very aware of any and all food safety concerns.

Today, we confirmed the first positive case of HPAI in a commercial poultry operation in Elbert County. As a result, all poultry activities - exhibitions, shows, swaps, and sales - in Georgia are suspended until further notice. GDA staff are currently onsite at the affected premises working to mitigate any spread of the disease and minimize the impact to Georgia’s #1 industry.
