What a delight creating for last weekend. The dream client scenario: they come to you with a vibe and list of preferences, then they add “and then just go do your thing.” *swoon* I got to put together my favorite moody spring colors and source from my favorite farms. Shout out to for the amazing burgundy and plum accents! A lot of what made things really come together were from her cooler! Flower friends, find you a farmer bff - shopping a farmer’s cooler to fine tune the color story is such a luxury. ❤️❤️

Mallory and Andrew's wedding went through so many iterations. We started planning in March 2020 (ha!). It started out as a big bash in Atlanta with dark cozy vintage vibes. Lots of bronze, burgundy, and earth tones. Thrifted vases with voluminous centerpieces. A vintage inspired dress the bride would sew herself... Then COVID. ⁠
⁠
Everything changed! Plans, jobs, even the state where the couple lived! In all that, the day retained it's coziness and its vintage vibe, due in large part to the relentless vision of our bride, Mallory. Paired down, simplified, and moved from Atlanta to beach side in S.C., but never compromising on the elements that meant the most. She even sewed that dress! Through all the ups and downs, her vision guided everything about the day. It was a pleasure to help facilitate her gorgeous dream. ⁠

Perhaps it's a sign you're getting old when people you remember being in preschool get married. When he was little, we used to ask if he'd ever grow into those long eyelashes and big blue eyes. Turns out he did! It was a joy to be a part of Taylor and Kaylie's day!

It was August, the bravest month to get married in the state of Georgia. Only people who REALLY want to be married tie the knot during the Dog Days of Summer. The heat didn't disappoint, but it did little to dampen the festivities. And hey, my flowers even survived!

So often during COVID, couples have shared their concerns with me that their wedding won't feel right. With changing plans, fewer people, and longer distances, how on earth can our celebrations not feel lonely? Incomplete?

This couple met this challenge head on and found the antidote. Love filled their empty spaces. Love of family, God, and each other permeated that sanctuary in a ceremony that was truly a blessing to behold. The Spirit of Love showed up -- making Holy the simplicity of the day and the complexity of the vows being made -- and creating something truly greater than the sum of its parts. What a day! What a beautiful couple! It's been 6 weeks, and I'm still dazzled. I'm so looking forward to celebrating their reception at their one year anniversary!

Can you believe it’s been so long?! Congratulations on your first 6 months of marriage! I’m so glad we got to celebrate your big day before everything ground to a halt. I’m so glad you’ve had each other during these strange and difficult times. Your wedding was a stunner. The memory of every perfect moment of that beautiful day has sustained me during quarantine. I so look forward to the next chapter of all this, where we can again gather to celebrate in community and witness together moments of such joy. Congrats you two! It was a privilege!
