Selling an XDJ-700 for cheaaaap! Here's the rub. The Play / Cue buttons no longer work. BUT...the unit is still fully functional by using only the touchscreen. I made a demonstration vid that shows how easy it is to set cue points on the fly which is poste below. When you set them using the unit, your USB commits the cue point(s) to memory, so they are there for your next set. I have been mixing on this unit for over a year using the touchscreen only workaround. If you have ever wanted to add a third deck into your set up without spending a lot of loot, this would work well. $170 price includes shipping.

Hunting and gathering tunes for another project mix. This time it's what I am calling -dubby house/technhouse- but not dub in the big bassline reggae-ish style. I'm trying to focus on big delays and echoes that are built into the tracks, and sometimes it gets into dark reverb teritory. Here is a conundrum. Some of what I have found illustrates the style perfectly bt they aren't exactly what I would run if I were playing out, they are specifically to meet the parameters of the recording. It's sometimes not easy to DJ outside the boundaries of the traditional gig chasing route. I like probing the minutiae and examining very microscopic aspects sometimes. It keeps it interestng for me. But trying to explain why every recoriding is not wall to wall bangers gets lost on some folks.
I dunno if I explained that correctly. It's like I am gonna make a painting but deliberately restricting my color pallette to see how much I can get out of a single shade. Anybody else do this?

Here's a cut and paste style dubbed up version of Nora Jones -Don't Know Why
This was me in 2002 trying to figure out how to build a song in Cubase using just digital audio and effects, no midi. The inspiration for this type of tune was the searing hot dub version of The Cure - Pictures of You on their remix album. This one obvs isn't quite that good, but its is different and fun.
This track only appeared on a promo only CD for use at Winter Music Conference 2003, extreme limited run.

Woolite is a chillout track. It's me attempting my best Spacetime Continuum imitation...but let's face it I'm no Jonah Sharp lol. Slow builder into big synthy waves and fx. Percussion portions swell and fade.
