Meet PBTF-GA Star: Inonege
Inonege is an awesome 25-year-old brain tumor survivor who lives in Georgia. When she was 21-years-old, she was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumor. Prior to diagnosis, Inonege was a full-time student at Georgia Southern University. She was away at college when she first started to get sick. She was initially diagnosed with vertigo and a sinus infection after a visit to a campus clinic. Eventually, she started to have double vision, so Inonege immediately made plans to get back home to see a doctor who was more familiar with her. An ophthalmologist gave her a prism to use on the lens of her glasses and also recommended that she get an MRI that night. It was that MRI that revealed that a tumor was blocking Inonege’s optic nerve in her left eye. She was immediately admitted to the hospital and was transferred to another hospital to have resection surgery the next day. After the resection surgery, it was determined that her tumor was malignant, so Inonege met with an oncologist to determine her treatment plans. She underwent radiation and chemotherapy until July 2012. Thankfully, today she is still cancer free!
Inonege is the youngest of four children. She describes herself as a “very goofy and playful individual.” She recently graduated college, receiving her BS in Chemistry in December 2014. While Inonege was on treatment, she learned to make beautiful handmade greeting cards. Her other hobbies include reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She is a truly amazing young lady and is most definitely a STAR to us here at PBTF-GA!

Two weeks ago, on Thursday, September 17, the stars shone brightly over Atlanta as our second annual Starry Night of Fashion took place at Tootsie's. The highlight of the evening was when six of our beautiful, inspiring PBTF-GA stars took to the runway and were the absolute epitome of elegance, style and grace.
