In the mix this morning for the Backpack Buddies 5k. As always a great turnout, record setting, in fact. They started off several years ago with 300 runners; today they had over 800. Timing provided by Wire2Wire Running and primary sponsor is Glenda Mitchell Law Firm with several other sponsors here as well, and a lemonade stand for donations.

I’ve been doing this event for several years now, and always have a great time.

Great time at Texas Roadhouse with Cartersville Fire Department and their big truck, Goodies and Grace bringing Italian Ice, and DJ Drew Thomas keeping the beats bumping. It’s the end of summer Kids Night!
