Thank you for taking the time for joining my mailing list. I’m so happy to have you here. It’s been a while since I’ve connected with you and some of you have been with me since I launched 2015. Wow! So much has changed and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support. I decided to pick the newsletter up again for two reasons; reason one being, I’ll have a little extra time on my hands and reason two because I really enjoy talking to you!

There’s no way I can check in with you without addressing all that havoc COVID-19 has caused within our families and our lives. Who would have known 2020 would have so much in store and we’ve just made it out of Quarter 1! It’s only up from here right? With the uncertainty of the economy, I’m sure you’ve begun to scale back on your expenses -- keeping costs low where you can. While your personal finances are important especially at a time like this, I challenge you to dig a little deeper. Do you have a relationship with any full-time entrepreneurs? Consider supporting their small business in lieu of your everyday purchases. Example? Purchasing dinner to-go from a local caterer.

If you don’t know exactly where to start, you’re in luck! I’ve compiled a list of a few of my favorite businesses that would love your support at this time. And if you’re not looking for a gift for mom it’s always a good time to do something nice for yourself!

Aside from this list, here are a few other techniques that are helping me navigate through this time.

I start my day with a heart full of gratitude. I’m sure you’ve heard that quote before but I’m serious. I journal for 5-10 minutes every morning. You’ll be surprised how your perspective changes when you’re reminded how incredible it is just to wake up.
