February’s here, and love’s heating up! 💕 But let’s be real — our true love is agave. 😍 Whether it’s hot or cold out, I’m always down for an agave love affair. Meet My Bloody Valentine 🤫— sweet, smoky, with a flirt of spice. It’s the perfect cure for that feverish love we have for agave spirits. Ready to fall head over heels with this one?

MY BLOODY VALENTINE
• 1 oz tequila reposado
• 1 oz mezcal
• 1 oz fresh blood orange juice
• 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)
• 1/2 oz Cointreau or triple sec
• Tajín and salt, for ri***ng the glass

Method:
Rim a rocks glass with Tajín or salt and fill with ice.
In a shaker, combine tequila, mezcal, blood orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and Cointreau.
Shake well with ice until chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a dried lime

Quick Life Update: We’re FINALLY Married! If you’ve followed us from the beginning, you might remember that Casey and I got engaged shortly before launching Fizzy in January 2020. It turns out that changing careers, launching a business, and navigating a global pandemic doesn’t leave much time to plan a wedding. Our friends and family often joked that we’d probably never set a wedding date. Well, this past Friday, we ended our 5½-year engagement with the most ‘us’ wedding day.

We eloped to Bell Mountain in North Georgia, planning for our close friend, Tara, to marry us with our dogs as our wedding party. It was a beautiful sunny day—until a couple of hours before the ceremony. On top of the mountain, we were greeted with 20+ mile-per-hour winds, blistering cold temperatures, and driving snow. With the help of our amazing photographer, Brooke, we braved the conditions to capture some pre-ceremony photos. However, the weather continued to worsen as we prepared for the ceremony. Just as we were about to call it off and head back to our Airbnb for the ceremony, the skies began to clear, and the wind died down.

Hand in hand, with our fur kids by our sides, we exchanged vows. Tara brought it all together for us, undeterred by Mother Nature. She reminded us our first date was on 1/18/18—a snow day in Atlanta that shut down the city. It was clearly meant to be that we’d get married in the snow.

Tara brought champagne and baked the most delicious German chocolate wedding cake. There, atop Bell Mountain, we had our reception and toasted to this incredible life we’ve built together. 12/20/24 will forever be one of the most special days of our lives.

Thank y’all for always being the best part of our Fizzy journey. Cheers to making more forever memories together with you!
