Well I don’t have any pictures of the garden on here yet but I did officially plant out my seeds today! Expect my blooms starting in July this year.

It was an unexpected season. I didn’t get much started inside. Honestly I only started my loofahs and I started them a bit on the later side! However they are doing GREAT! 😊

I’ll have some blooms in June but it will just be enough to show my face at the June southern point summer market. Where I will also be selling some of my soaps made with the loofahs I grew last season! 💚

I will also be selling plant labels made with our 3d printer. These will be biodegradable expected to last one gardening season. More to come on that in the upcoming weeks!

Check out my son next to this hollyhock! 😳😍

A couple hundred flowers were planted out today and my husband started the install of my new drip system. I am so relieved I don’t have to water everything this season. 🙌

Well I went for snaps and got a lot more. I think plant math sounds a lot like chicken math. What do you think?

So this year I’m cheating a little bit. Let’s talk about it.

Everything in my garden last year I grew from seed or tubers.

This year life has been a little more chaotic. I haven’t started hardly anything… I am definitely behind.

Then I called my sweet sweet gardening friend Sarah, over at Sugar Oaks Homestead, and she gave me so much peace.

She reminded me.. these things just happen sometimes and it’s not the end of the world. Realistically I’m only 2 weeks behind last years mark for the majority of my seed starting and it’s going to be ok.

However I was really unhappy with my snapdragon production last year and this year I decided I wanted to buy some plugs. So I found a local grower— Fields of Laughter Flower Farm— and I’m going to get a nice variety I can pick up tomorrow.

& I’m picking up 60 dag on snapdragons lol. I’m not really sure where I’ll put them but I will figure that out next week I guess. 😅

Gardening doesn’t have to be so scary. It’s not always by the book on exact dates with exact temperature regulations. They’re guidelines & it’s part of learning what works.

What I do matters.. it won’t matter to everyone but it does matter to me. It gives me peace. It teaches me patience and I’m always learning.

Gardening has been an irreplaceable journey. So I invite you to follow along.. watch me fail, stumble and succeed.. and allow me to share my flowers with you in the process.
