A couple of goodies on the stand today.

Laine has a $15 jar arrangement, aaaand the kids had a sweet little idea for the stand.

They wanted to start sharing some of our extra eggs with our community, so we have two free ½-dozen packs of unwashed fresh eggs at the stand today!

No purchase necessary — just take one if you could use it.

This won’t be an everyday thing, but whenever the girls are laying well and we have some to spare, we’ll try to put a few out. Just a little way for the kids to share what we have with our neighbors.

A recent meal my husband cooked for us — featuring steaks from our ½ beef from Canoe Creek Farms!

This was our first time buying beef locally, and I don’t think we’ll ever go back. The taste and quality are incredible, but there’s also something really special about knowing exactly where your food comes from and supporting the farmers who raise it.

Buying a half beef is definitely an investment up front, but when you break it down by the pound, the value is hard to beat — especially for the quality you’re getting.

If you’ve ever considered buying local beef, reach out to Canoe Creek Farms or a farmer near you (we are lucky enough to have multiple!) and ask about it. Support your local farmers and know where your food comes from!
