Why?
We all have the need to create. I never felt like the crafty, creative type, but after putting 5 kids in this world, and trying desperately to make them into good people, I realized that if I didn’t devote a little bit of time to something other than the kids, I’d lose it. I’ve always loved gardening and flowers in particular. After a move to a house with an itty-bitty backyard, with no room for real flowers, I decided to concentrate on the wood flowers that I discovered a couple of years earlier. I get most of my loose/raw flowers from a wholesaler who gets them from handcrafters in India and the Philippines. I got tired of having to tell customers that I only dye and arrange the flowers, I wanted to be able to say that I make them as well. So, I learned how to make them. I love creating almost as much as I love the above individuals.
The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. -D. Uchtdorf

Will you be at any craft/vendor events coming up?
Today we are excited to announce a very different kind of woodcrafter - Flowerhop. They specialize in making wooden flowers and then using those beautiful, delicate flowers in arrangements, wreaths, nosegays, and more. And the best part - these flowers do not fade or die and they make a great gift for the nature lover on your holiday gift list.
Saw you at Sterlingfest this weekend! When is your next show?
It had taken me forever to post this, but thank you so much. I love it! I have received so many compliments on it. You do such beautiful work and I cannot wait for my next piece!
Hello! I saw you at the Ridgetop craft fair today - and your work is just BEAUTIFUL! I found many things that I wanted for myself, and not for the people on my Christmas list. 😉 Hopefully, I can connect with you after the holidays.
Thank you Elizabeth for such a fun craft night!
You are amazingly talented!!
