Encanto could possibly be one of the most intimidating themes to take on. Honestly I had not seen the movie prior to the request. 🤫. Had to watch for research. I loved it, the family, the Casita, the history and the gifts. Simply put it is not easy to capture in one set of cookies.

Got me thinking about the gift of patience and the slow blossom of Mirabel the main character. How she brought her crumbling family together in the end, rebuilt what they had lost. Patience in all things and allowing time to heal.

So much so that I cleaned my front windows for an hour, just to pretend I was busy, but obviously not focused.
