I still need to pinch myself… I’m still processing that Sun and Honey Grazing won the 2026 Pitch Fest Competition at Amazon HQ2, hosted by Bizz Launch (Arlington Economic Development) 💛

Last year, when I lost a career I had built and loved for years in humanitarian aid, I was devastated and unsure of what came next. But I’ll never forget what my dad told me that day: when one door closes, another one always opens - you just have to stay open and keep moving forward.

This passion project has brought me so much joy. Every time I create a board, I feel like I’m bringing a little bit of happiness into someone’s home 🧀💛

A heartfelt thank you to Bizz Launch and for their incredible support - this opportunity has meant so much.

Thank you to my friends and family for believing in me and cheering me on, especially during the difficult moments.

This is just the beginning. I know there will be challenges ahead, but I’m embracing the journey. Thank you for being here! 💛

Trying something a little fun here and using it as a chance to introduce myself. 🌸 Hi, I’m Maripili O’Connell, the heart behind Sun & Honey Grazing.

This little business started from something very simple… my love for bringing people together.

I grew up surrounded by women who knew how to host beautifully, my grandma, my mom, my aunts. Gatherings were never rushed. We lingered. We talked. We laughed. We stayed long after the plates were cleared, what we call La Sobremesa, where conversations stretch for hours over a glass of wine or sangria.

That’s where this all comes from.

I carry with me my love for my home country, Peru, its flavors, its warmth, and that deep sense of connection around the table. Whether I’m traveling overseas or hosting at home, I’m always inspired by how food brings people together.

Sun & Honey Grazing is my way of sharing that feeling, creating spaces where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy something beautiful together.

A special thank you to my husband and my three wonderful daughters for cheering me on every step of this journey 🩷
