Yay for so many of our friends trying dahlias this year and absolutely crushing it!
Tried the clover flower crowns 👑 🍀 so fun! Gaga’s floret zinnias opened 🤩 we have a new little raccoon 🦝 friend down the street we wave to!

Goals for the week:
Pinching, making sure everything is perfectly watered all week- it’s gonna be hot 🥵 , weeding, of course having fun, & continuing to prep for event season!

Started & ended the day with a mini bouquet 💐 so much going on behind the scenes as always, and I promised to share that part more this season so here we go 🌸💕
Mid week updates: we are having a little drought here and it is DRY we have spent the entire week making sure everything (& everyone- stay hydrated friends) has enough water 💧 irrigation is all set up and running! &weeding (why aren’t the weeds also struggling 😅)

Cuttings are continuing to be hardened off and go out with the rest of the dahlias!

While we work on the big gardens, the girls are very busy taking care of their fairy gardens, they have gardens all over the place- in the gardens & up on our deck! They planted a mini pumpkin patch with my dad they are very excited about too 🎃

Our other blooms are coming right along too- zinnias tiny blooms we are cutting deep on a few weeks hadn’t pinched, same with cosmos, yarrow came back stronger year 2 they are giant, feverfew is coming any day- also year 2 and giant, Wren does not like light pink right now only dark pink 🤣💕, we have 3 delphinium about to bloom back from last year, snaps are slowly starting, we have harvest a few, anemones & ranunculus are gorgeous- but so slow in this heat!

Our first florist buckets have been going out this week 🪣 we LOVE seeing what you all create ✨

Overalls will be my entire personality this summer, sorry not sorry 🤣 I’m late to the game but I’m all in wow what a game changer! Thank you all for the recommendations- almost everyone responded that were the best & yes OBSESSED! 🦋 had to get some for our cuties too since they love to be out there with us- & are loving butterflies if you remember from Halloween- they were butterflies & we were dahlias 🌸

Dahlia seedlings we have 7 buds- can’t wait! After turning our hobby into a business- the seedlings feel like the extra extra fun part for us this year 🫶 cannot wait to see what we get!

What’s new in your garden this week?? 🌱

What a beautiful day ☀️ Planting is done & now we wait 🤍 hope you all are having a great weekend!

Lots of watering & weeding will be happening this week, but first we’ll relax a tiny bit 🥰

**Still have some cuttings we’ll put in, but saving them to fill in holes for any plants we end up needing to pull 👀 since we are watching our plants health like a hawk, but we are basically done 🤣

I’ll also probably decide to do another succession of things at some point too- is planting really ever done lol but we’ll pretend for the day 💤

We are calling this the Seedling Strip! 🌱 We have about 600 dahlia seedlings (plus 1 last tray coming still that’s hardening off) ☀️
This funky shape bed follows the part of the yard that has good sun light and is built out of our old deck! We have a super shady yard and wanted this in a totally separate area than our field, so here they are!
Can’t wait to see what they all look like!

Can’t wait to play with the dead heads all summer ☀️
