Some trips never get old.

Over the years, we've had the opportunity to visit Tryon, North Carolina many times, providing private transportation between Tryon and Murphy for a longtime client.

And every time we go, we're reminded what a special place it is.

Known for its beautiful countryside and deep equestrian heritage, Tryon is truly horse country. Rolling hills, beautiful farms, horses in the pastures, and a peacefulness that makes you slow down and appreciate where you are.

Our drivers love making the trip.

But what makes these trips especially meaningful isn't simply the destination. It's the relationship behind them. Having a client continue to place their trust in us year after year is something we never take for granted.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Before there was Always on Time Shuttle Service, there were cars.

Much, much smaller cars.

Before starting Always on Time on January 1, 2023, I owned North Carolina RC Raceway in Andrews, located at White's Plaza.

I purchased the racetrack from “this guy” named Denny, who owned Smoky Mountain Hobbies at the time.

Denny had the hobby shop. I had the racetrack. And, as you can probably imagine, our paths crossed quite a bit.

Neither of us had any idea where that road would eventually lead.

Fast-forward a few years, and the cars have gotten quite a bit bigger.

And Denny?

He's still right here — now serving as our Head Driver and Logistics Manager at Always on Time Shuttle Service.

It's funny how life works. Sometimes the people you meet in one chapter have a way of showing up in the next.

And sometimes a little RC racetrack turns out to be the starting line for something much bigger.

From little cars to big cars... we've come a long way.

On a Personal Note…

In business and in our personal lives, there are moments that stay with us, moments that are deeply meaningful and sometimes difficult to put into words.

I recently experienced one of those moments.

A week ago, my grandson began the journey of becoming a soldier at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and began his basic training with the United States Army.

It was a decision he gave a great deal of thought to, and ultimately, it was his decision to make. Watching him take that first step into this new chapter of his life was deeply impactful, and even more so than I expected.

In a time when our country is experiencing so much division and turmoil, I am grateful for the men and women who are willing to raise their hand and say, “I will serve.”

I'm incredibly grateful that my grandson chose to do that.

Some moments simply deserve to be shared.

We’re on the authorized side.

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s new shuttle pickup process includes a controlled entry that authorized transportation providers access using a transponder.

Pull up.
Transponder activates.
Gate opens.
We’re in.

It represents months of collaboration with the Georgia Department of Public Safety and Atlanta Ground Transportation & Aviation to make the necessary changes allowing North Carolina shuttle services to gain authorization to operate at the airport.

Now, you can actually see the results of all that work.

No transponder means no access.

It may be just a few seconds in this video...but for us, that gate opening represents something much bigger.

Authorization. Compliance. And the privilege of providing transportation to and from one of the busiest airports in the world.

Owl or Hawk?

Tuesday night's wedding had an unexpected guest.

Just before the ceremony began, this beautiful bird appeared nearby, and Jessi, our newest driver, was quick enough to capture a photo.

Depending on who you ask...

An owl symbolizes wisdom, guidance, and a lifelong bond.

A hawk symbolizes protection, focus, and strength for the journey ahead.

Either way, it felt like a pretty special moment before the bride and groom said, "I do."

NEW ATLANTA AIRPORT RULES: NOT EVERY SHUTTLE CAN ACCESS PASSENGER PICKUP

As of Monday, August 17, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has implemented new procedures for limousine and shuttle service passenger pickups.

Authorized transportation providers are now directed to the new Legacy West Curb pickup area.

Access is restricted to permitted operators whose vehicles have the required ATL airport parking permit/decal and transponder to enter the designated pickup area.

These changes are part of ATL’s ongoing efforts to ensure transportation providers operating at the airport are properly authorized and compliant.

What does this mean for our passengers?
