We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Dr. RJ (Dr. Russell J. Ledet, MD, PhD, MBA) as our guest speaker!

It is more than just melody and rhythm. It is the sound of resilience. It is the language of resistance. It is the expression of unyielding joy, deep faith, and profound love. For generations, Black artists have taken their lived experiences, their struggles, and their triumphs, and spun them into a sonic tapestry that has literally shaped the world.

Every time we turn up the volume, we are celebrating a lineage of innovators, trailblazers, and visionaries who refused to be silenced. They gave us the soundtrack to our movements, our cookouts, our heartbreaks, and our victories.

• ELIGIBILITY: Open to graduating seniors in Madison County.
• REQUIREMENTS: Includes a 500-word essay on community impact and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• DEADLINE: All applications must be submitted by May 16, 2026.
