🏈 Practice makes progress! 🎈

I stepped outside my comfort zone today and challenged myself with a football player balloon sculpture! This was just a trial run, but every balloon I twist and every sculpture, arch, garland, or stack I build teaches me something new.

I’m definitely my own biggest critic, and I already see things I’d tweak next time, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in such a short time. Watching an idea come to life out of balloons never gets old!

Every build is another step toward becoming the balloon artist I want to be. Thank you to everyone who’s liked, shared, encouraged, and trusted me along the way. Your support means more than you know. 💕

Sweet gender reveal for the Moore family! 💙🩷 Baby is a BOY!

I didn’t record a single video of this setup… and honestly, it’s probably for the best. 😂

Everything that could go wrong pretty much did. I didn’t order enough of one balloon size. I even had balloons at home in the size I needed, but they were way too bright. My next-day Amazon order didn’t show up when promised, and after ordering AGAIN, they finally arrived… way too late in the afternoon and in the wrong shade. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thankfully, it blended well enough that I’m probably the only one who noticed.

Then came the gold. I struggled forever trying to find a way to work it in without it looking wonky. (Thanks, ChatGPT, for helping me figure that one out! 😂) The whole time I was putting this together, I kept telling Amanda, “I don’t like it. I don’t like this.” But I kept going, and bless her heart, she just kept encouraging me through it. I just couldn’t see the finished vision while I was in the middle of the process.

There were definitely a few meltdowns, a couple mood swings, and moments where I questioned every decision. 😅 But somehow… it all came together into something beautiful.

And honestly, that’s such a picture of what God does in our lives.

So many times we only see the missing pieces, the delays, the disappointments, and the things that don’t go according to plan. We think everything is falling apart, but God is quietly weaving it all together into something far more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Sometimes we’re our own biggest critic. We can’t see what everyone else sees because we’re so focused on what isn’t perfect. That’s why I’m thankful for people like Amanda, who remind us to keep going when all we can see are the flaws. We all need people in our lives who encourage us when we’re in the middle of the process.

He specializes in taking our mess, our chaos, our setbacks, and our broken plans… and turning them into something that reflects His goodness and His glory.

I’m so thankful I didn’t quit when it wasn’t going the way I pictured, because the finished result reminded me that the process isn’t always pretty—but the outcome can be.
