We'd like to take a moment to highlight the Discover Ames Community Grant Program. This program has been the launching point of Anime Ames. Now in its 19th year, the Discover Ames Community Grant program has awarded over $119,000 to 37 different events in 2025 and over $1.3 million since its inception. In Fall 2023, Discover Ames first approached at a college event and asked if we'd be interested in hosting an anime convention, resulting in the first Anime Ames in 2024. Since then, Discover Ames has continued to support Anime Ames and the wider Ames community with its goal of bringing diverse and interesting events to Ames.
