We’re welcoming Chris and Zaneta back from New York to Center Street for their Spiritual Arts Residency, July 24-27. During their visit, they’ll be offering some truly special events, such as psychic development workshops, communing with nature spirits, sound journeys and 1:1 readings.
A little background about Chris and Zaneta
Chris is an award-winning vibraphonist, composer, and medium, who offers channeled sound journeys and vibraphone readings in spaces such as the Rubin Museum, Omega Institute, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and throughout the country. His music has been described by The New York Times as “hypnotizing” and his music for bereavement program Transformations for Grief offers weekly sessions for people to process loss and grief through sound, creative writing, and somatic therapy.
Zaneta is an interdisciplinary sound artist and spirit medium, focused on connecting communities to the sacred in their local ecology. As an artist, they weave ritual, nature field recordings, and sound to create immersive ritual experiences and exchanges between human and non-human kin. They are the environmental artist in residence at Marydell Faith and Life Center in Nyack, NY, and an artist partner with Woodstock Land Conservancy. Their work has been presented by the Brooklyn Museum and Los Angeles Natural History Museum, and supported by grants from Brooklyn Arts Council. As a spirit medium, they host the Art Witch podcast, teach classes on psychic and ritual practice, and offer readings for creatives realigning with their soul’s work.
