Meet the Dealer… aka EAST
East starts the game with a major advantage: an extra tile!
Here’s how it works
✨ East begins with 14 tiles while every other player starts with 13
✨ That extra tile gives East a slight advantage during the Charleston + courtesy pass before the game begins
✨ To officially start the game, East discards their 14th tile face up
✨ From that point on, everyone plays with 13 tiles until someone calls MAHJONG!
Learning the setup is half the battle 🫠
